Dudley Coates

Since 2001 Dudley Coates has been a consultant and writer as well as being involved in considerable charity work (he chairs the Board of a charity with an annual turnover of £1.5million). Before that, he was a civil servant for 32 years, mostly in the (then) Ministry of Agriculture, Fisheries and Food (MAFF). Before taking early retirement, he had a wide range of experience including both policy work (his last post from 1996 was as head of MAFF's Environment Group) and management (in his penultimate post he managed MAFF's regional organisation of 2000 staff). In the late 1980s he was the Principal Establishment and Finance Officer of a small Department.


Peter Jones

Peter Lewis Jones is a former HR and Resources Director in the public & private sectors and is a member of a wide network of senior consultants who work together on projects that call for their complementary and common skills, and have in common the fact they have previously held senior management positions in large organisations before moving into consultancy. Areas of his work include: helping directors and senior managers to deal with strategic and policy issues, supporting businesses as they plan and implement major change projects, advising on organizational design and issues related to changing the roles of managers and developing the personal skills of groups and individuals, often using the Myers Briggs Type Indicator. He has worked as a consultant since 1989 and his clients range across government departments and agencies; UK and foreign owned plcs across a range of market sectors; and organisations in the housing and not for profit sectors.

Andrew Milton-Thompson

Andrew Milton-Thompson is principal of In2Search. He founded In2Search to respond to the desire of industrial and technology companies to have executive search conducted by consultants with international management experience and relevant sector knowledge.

Before entering the search business, Andrew held a number of senior positions in the UK and Switzerland at leading industrial manufacturing firms including Fusion UV Systems, a member company of Spectris PLC, and Union Carbide, now part of Dow Chemicals. He established and managed a European organisation for Fusion UV Systems, leading it through sustained growth to become a market leader in its business in Europe.

Andrew began his career in Executive Search in 2002, establishing a significant practice in the chemical and engineering sectors, and from 2004 developing an industrial search practice within an international search organisation based in London, before creating In2Search in 2006.

Andrew has held senior management positions as Secretary General and Chairman of the Marketing Committee at RadTech Europe, the European association which promotes the use of UV/EB curing technology for inks, coatings and adhesives. In recognition of this work, he was awarded Honorary Life Membership in 2001. He occasionally contributes articles on strategic and human resource issues to industry focused journals.

Andrew received an MA in Natural Sciences from Trinity Hall, Cambridge University and an MBA from the London Business School.


Elena Badamiants

Elena Badamiants covers emerging markets, with a focus on financial services and the petroleum industry. From 1998, she was the Managing Director and UK Representative for RNGS, the former construction arm of the Ministry of Oil and Gas of the USSR. In that capacity she was responsible for new business development in North Africa, Middle East and Asia.

Prior to taking that position, in 1997 and 1998, Elena was a Senior Consultant to the Hotel Division of Knight Frank. She was responsible for establishing joint ventures and advising on redevelopment projects. She was instrumental in winning and executing a mandate from the city government of Moscow to advise on restructuring their hotel portfolio consisting of some 120 hotels. In addition, Elena facilitated the joint venture between RNGS and Sir Rocco Forte’s RF Hotels. The new entity was set up for the purpose of developing a chain of mid-market hotels throughout Russia. Subsequently, she joined RNGS in their London office and was appointed to the Board of the joint venture.

From 1995-1997, Elena was an Associate in the London office of SBC Warburg, Corporate Finance Division and was registered with the Securities and Futures Authority. Elena worked on several large scale projects in Russia, those included: advising on an IPO for Ilim Pulp Enterprise (the Russian pulp and paper conglomerate), a convertible bond issue for the Russian oil company, Komitek, and restructuring of the government of Ukraine’s debt for gas supplies to Gazprom for the years 1994-1995. Before relocating to the UK, Elena worked in Moscow for ALM Consulting, a private consultancy that was later transformed into the Moscow branch of Frere Cholmeley Bishoff/Eversheds.

Elena holds a Masters Degree in Political Science and Modern Languages (German and English) from the Military Academy under the Ministry of Defence of the USSR (currently the Military University of Economy, Finance and Law). She also completed a one-year course studying International Economy and French at Moscow State University for International Relations (MGIMO).

Elena is a Director of Pantera Oil & Gas plc, a UK oil exploration company and a Director and Founder of Friends of St. Petersburg Philharmonic Orchestra. She is interested in sports and Asian and Middle Eastern cultures.


Tom Carter

Tom Carter leads LeaderFinderInc a New York City executive search practice, placing senior personnel in businesses that have needs related to risk, security, and regulatory compliance. Prior to creating LeaderFinder he served for eleven years with the US State Department and had a stellar career as a public servant and diplomat, with a special focus in counterterrorism.

From 2002-05, he was a United States Delegate to the UN Security Council where, among other accomplishments, he led the planning of a 10,000 person peacekeeping force in Haiti. Previously, (2000-02), Tom had been the Policy Director for the Western Hemisphere in the Office of Counterterrorism at the U.S. State Department and received multiple awards for his service during and after 9/11. From 1998-2000, Tom ran a counter-narcotics program in Nicaragua, aimed at stopping trans-shipment of Colombian cocaine to the U.S.

Before entering government service, Tom was a Sales Director at Ontarget, Inc., a division of Siebel Systems. He received his Bachelor of Science degree from the School of Foreign Service at Georgetown University and a Masters degree in Administration and Social Policy from Harvard University. He is fluent in Spanish and French and lives in New York City with his wife and four children.

Robin Douglas

Robin’s early career as a Commissioned Officer in the British Army was followed by several years working for a Lloyd’s broker in the City of London as a Financial Adviser to the firm’s private and corporate clients. He began his career in Executive Search in 1987 working for a small financial services headhunting boutique in London for whom he set up an office in Edinburgh in 1990. In 1993 he joined the Financial Services Practice of Norman Broadbent based in Edinburgh handling assignments in Scotland and London for financial services clients.

In January 1998 he returned to the City of London to specialise in recruitment in the asset management sector and ran the Wealth and Asset Management Practice. In November 2001 he set up his own Executive Search firm, The Douglas Partnership. He has transacted assignments across a wide spectrum of front, middle and back office roles in the areas of institutional, retail and private client asset management, private banking, global custody, third party fund administration and securities services.
